BIG NEWS!!! With the return of Strange Days this year, you might be wondering, what about the giveaway bike?!? Ladies and germs, I’d like to introduce the Strange Days 10th Anniversary giveaway bike, “Sweet Cheeks.” This custom 1980 Shovelhead is built in the spirit of what Strange Days is all about: long distance riding and camping! Inspired by the long-haul, mile-munching bikes that @joepanhead1313_archives and his friends rode in the past, Sweet Cheeks is the bike to carry everything you need with plenty of fuel, pullback handlebars, and a comfortable seat for that lazy-boy feel while jamming down the highway. **Features of Sweet Cheeks:** - 80” Motor - 4-Speed Transmission - Raked Frame - 8” Over Front End - Custom Stainless Pullbacks by @silverbackmoto - 3.5 Gallon Tanks - Custom Seat by @dnseats6779 - Custom Paint by @custom.paint.by.jam - Tall Polished Stainless Steel Sissy Bar for holding all your gear or your ol’lady. Many of you may remember the beginning of this bike’s journey back in January 2020. Just a month later, the world went to shit, and many events, including Strange Days, were forced to cancel. Despite the uncertain return of Strange Days, we continued to build and complete the bike. Now with Strange Days 10 a go, we’re thrilled to bring Sweet Cheeks out of hibernation for one lucky winner to take home this July! I want to extend a big shout-out to @lowbrowcustoms for supplying a bundle of parts for this build five years ago, @silverbackmoto for the custom stainless pullback handlebars, @dnseats6779 for the custom seat, and @custom.paint.by.jam for the amazing paintwork depicting the golden hour on the Rickey Farm, the birthplace of the first Strange Days. Ticket details are TBD. However, PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN! So, start making plans for this psychedelic chopper campout weekend now! Stay tuned! We have more exciting details to reveal about this giveaway! I want include these fine people and pages for their help and patience to see this through. @chopcult @hotdoggin @motojam_productions @lowbrowcustoms @silverbackmoto @dnseats6779 @bengottheinsta59fl @custom.paint.by.jam @strangedaysevent

Hey gang! It’s been a while since I last shared any updates on shop work. I haven’t been able to work on much since selling my dad’s place last November. However, I’ve been slowly working on getting all my equipment back up and running and creating a somewhat functional workspace for now. That said, I’m excited to announce that I’ve made the first sissybar in the new spot, and it’s all for a good cause! A little background... Kate and I met Frank of @pedro_and_bettys_big_revival last year @fuelcleveland and we instantly connected over Honda Shadow choppers. Frank and Mike are real grassroots garage chopper buildin’ dudes out of West Virginia and throw down the miles on their Shadows. These guys have class and character. In a world drowned in chopped Harley’s, it’s cool to meet people that “get it” with building metric bikes. They may be cheap and easy to acquire, but to be built right and look good, is not for the faint of heart. So! Frank and Mike have a new chopper build underway! They have been working tirelessly on a wild VT600 Honda Shadow chopper that will be raffled off in October to benefit the @sweetjuliagrace foundation. This foundation’s mission is to provide support with day-to-day needs for families with children who are seriously ill, have special needs, or are currently facing a medical crisis. If any of you know my brother Ray, you know this kinda thing is close to my heart. So, we had a quick chat with the guys and they sent us their design and a mock-up bar to pull measurements from. We then turned their dream bar into an all-polished stainless reality. I thank Frank and Mike for the opportunity for Kate and I to make a contribution towards this. Within the next week or so I’ll be posting a video of how this sissybar was built start to finish. We wish these guys safe travels to Fuel Cleveland this weekend! If ya’ll are out there be sure to pay a visit to their booth and check out what they’ve been building and their own chops, “Pedro” and “Betty”! #stainlesssissybar #pedroandbettysbigrevival #fuelcleveland #retrofitcycleworks #choppers #vt600chopper #hondashadow #charitychop

For Sale: 1981 GS550 Chopper Project This project was started about 12-14 years ago. I hate to see it go but I just don't have the time or see myself fully finishing this in the future. Custom rigid frame, Mustang tank flipped upside down, split and narrowed with Triumph oil tank caps. The coils are actually hidden between the two tanks. Stainless horseshoe battery box, stainless sissybar and seat pan made to fit but needs to be covered. Custom hand made forward controls with spoon pegs you'll never find for a GS550. These forward controls have the ability to be foot shift/hand clutch or foot clutch/hand shift. Pictured is the hand shift setup using the original shifter flipped up, and a second brake pedal modified to act as a foot clutch. Frame is smoothed and welded, stamped seams are gone. The wheels are RARE GR650 Tempter aluminum 16 Rear/19 Front with brand new tires. Rear fender was radiused to match the wheel and trimmed and blended for chain clearance. Top triple tree is smoothed, filled and polished for a slick look. Bottom tree is ready for a Bates bottom mount light. This bike comes with a TON of extra collected parts like clutch/basket, carbs, extra forks, nice shorty mufflers, etc. It pains me to see my early college project I cut my teeth on at Pratt in Brooklyn, but I'm hoping it can go to a good home that'll finish it. My dad's estate has more sentimental projects I want to hang onto, so I'm selling this bike. Hell, I think this is the second stainless sissybar my dad and I ever made. Cat eye taillight for the sissy bar is included. It did run, and ran well, it's just been sitting. Needs wiring and bungs welded in the tank for petcocks. Can provide more pictures upon request. Clean NJ title in my name. Asking $800. #chopperswapper

I've owned it for over 8 years. Originally a Missouri farm truck in Glacier Blue". I purchased it from a guy in Pittsburgh PA who bought it from the family in Missouri. Backyard red paint job was done sometime in the 1980s. I put in new floors cab mounts front and rear firewall door jam pillars front cab corners door strikers firewall cover rubber floor mat steering box drag link king pins 3" drop leaf springs up front air shocks in rear. Trans was rebuilt about 6 years ago. Many many more new parts I can't think of off the top of my head. Comes with brand new visor not installed front sway bar new rear leaf spring bushings original 16" rims and tires hubcaps extra vent window frames side glass. Bed is just plywood which is perfect for hauling motorcycles or other junk around. The paint as you can see is not perfect but has that perfect farm truck patina. Only rust that was NOT fixed was the rear cab corners because you can't really see it it was not part of my plan for making the truck structurally and mechanically sound. All the gauges work. The heater box and core are mounted but needs the rest of the ductwork and controls. Turn signals work. Wiper motor new and wipers work. This is an honest solid truck cruises nicely and has good power. Fresh alignment brakes clutch and points all recently adjusted. Asking 17k or best offer.
