Triple Tree Work

Continued shaping and filing the underside and front to give it a nice structured flow.

Final sand blast. Every thing looks evened out. Next up: sanding and polishing.

Even took care of the heavy casting seams along the back.

This is RetroFit

Got a one time chance over the summer with all the scooters in one spot the morning after the RetroFit Party. I'm on the left, my ol'man, Big Joe, on the right. Happy cycle hoarding guys!

It only starts with one....

Some 3D stuff: Wall of Death

I made this in 2009, in Maya, a 3D modeling and animating program. I Modeled it directly from the California Hell Rider's Wall of Death. I Met the crew at the Rhinebeck Swapmeet. Super cool people, they allowed me to go inside the wall for reference photos. At the following Rhinebeck meet in 2010 I gave them prints of the final renders. They were pretty stoked about it.

Shaved Trees

This is the aluminum top triple tree from the GS550. I Dont like the gauged ear lobes hanging off the front so they're going to get cut off. (Those mounts were for the speedometer gauge cluster which I'm not using.)

There were divots in the casting on the underside that would show through when the lobes would be cut off, so they were filled.

Finger belt sanders rule

Needs some more shaping, but its close.

Billy's 750 Honda 2

As promised Billy's Honda. Its amazing how well a cb750 fits in a wishbone! Look closely at the motor mounts and how the honda frame has been grafted to the harley frame. The lines are perfect on this bike. Note the chrome xlch oil tank. The sportster in the back was my ol man's. Both of these machines cruised around Northern, NJ in the early 70s

This is it later with glide front end with the steib sidecar.
