Strange Days is just over 4 weeks away but it feels like it's right around the corner. Ben, my ol'man, and myself have been working damn near every night after work making more and more progress on the Voodoo Child. Paint, chrome, polish, and upholstery are all on the home stretch. I can't wait to be rolling down the road again on this ol' chop.

Great time, and perfect weather on Saturday! The shovel didn't skip a beat! Friday immediately after work I got hosed riding over High Point. Fortunately I was only heading to Ben's, got cleaned up, a bite to eat and we headed north. Not even 5 miles outside of Port Jervis and the skies opened up again. It wasnt until the last 10 miles or so crossing the Rhinecliff Bridge the sun came out and it was a perfect evening. I was so distracted with looking for parts for the shovel I forgot to take pictures. If you want to see a good selection of pics check out Jeff's site.
Ken's new sporty he just finished up the night before!
I heard some dude on a bicycle crashed into this Merkel and knocked it over... How is that possible!?
I picked up a round air cleaner and a chain guard for the shovel. Little mods to both and they'll fit just fine.

If you have never been to this meet before, you need to go. Parts are overly priced but the grounds are great and where else on the east coast will you find so many old bikes in one place.
I'll be taking my shovel up on it's 2nd road trip so far. I'll probably have a wet ride to work in the morning but it's a waste of time to run all the way home to only head north again. I put the old leather bags and windshield back on again. I hope I stay dry. Saturday is suppose to be perfect weather. See ya'll this weekend!

We have a little more chrome to send out this year than last year! We've spent the last 2 days prepping all the chrome stuff to hopefully send out Friday! Bob at Toontown paint now has the frame and tins to work his magic.
Here's a little sneak peak of Carl's handiwork! An exact replica of the original seat!
The left side engine cover is just about finished. Little more clean up on the welds and this cover will be ready for polishing.
More progress photos to come!
